In the US trucking industry, an idle truck is more than just parked equipment - it is lost revenue. When a driver does not show up, a route is delayed, a contract is at risk, and the carrier loses money. This is the reality many American transport companies face today, as the industry struggles with an ongoing driver shortage. A startup from Kazakhstan, Call2action.ai, is offering a practical solution to this problem, DKNews.kz reports.
Call2action.ai, a participant of the international innovation cluster Astana Hub, has connected more than 30 transportation companies in the United States to its platform over the past three months. These include both paying commercial clients and pilot projects that are already transitioning to a paid model. The combined fleet of companies using the platform now exceeds 2,000 trucks.
One open position means real losses
The US trucking market is valued at around $1.3 trillion. Despite its scale, one of the industry’s biggest challenges remains unresolved - the shortage of drivers. In some segments, annual driver turnover exceeds 100 percent. In practice, this means that by the time one driver is hired, another has already left.
Call2action.ai aims to change how hiring works in this environment. The startup automates the entire driver recruitment process. This is not just about collecting resumes. The platform covers the full hiring cycle - from sourcing candidates to interviews, evaluation, and the driver’s first day on the job.
An AI recruiter instead of endless calls
The core of the platform is an AI-based recruiter agent. It conducts initial interviews with candidates independently, asks structured questions, evaluates responses against predefined criteria, and delivers ready-to-use insights to HR teams.
As a result, recruiters no longer spend hours on manual screening and repetitive phone calls. Instead, they focus on decision-making, while the system handles the most time-consuming early stages.
“Our strategic focus on the US market and the trucking industry took shape during our participation in the AlchemistX accelerator. Through conversations with industry representatives and market analysis, we clearly saw the scale of the problem. The US trucking industry is massive, while driver turnover is extremely high. This confirmed that automating the initial hiring stage can deliver a direct and measurable impact for carriers. We received our first commercial demand immediately after launch - the invoice we issued was paid the next day. That was a clear validation of the relevance of our solution,” said Ersultan Zhunisakynov, founder and CEO of Call2action.ai.
Results that can be measured
Early implementations have already delivered tangible results. According to clients, driver hiring time has been reduced by roughly three times. HR teams report saving up to 60-70 percent of the time previously spent on manual screening and initial calls.
Candidate conversion rates have also improved. Interviews happen immediately, decisions are made faster, and companies no longer lose qualified drivers during long waiting periods.
Investment and growth plans
In October 2025, Call2action.ai raised $500,000 in investment. Of this amount, $200,000 came from MOST Ventures, while the remaining funding was provided by private angel investors from the United States. The capital is being used to further develop the product, expand the team, and strengthen sales efforts in the US market.
Before fully focusing on the United States, the team tested the product in Kazakhstan and across Central Asia. This stage helped validate early hypotheses and gather critical customer feedback. However, the scale and structure of the US market made it the most promising direction for growth.
Today, Call2action.ai is focused on expanding platform functionality for large carriers, increasing the number of commercial clients, strengthening partnerships, and increasing its presence at industry events. The company’s long-term goal is to build a global AI-powered platform for high-volume hiring in logistics and adjacent industries.
From Central Eurasia to global markets
AlchemistX, the program in which Call2action.ai participated, is a special initiative for Central Eurasia by Alchemist Accelerator, one of the leading B2B accelerators in the United States. The program helps startups move from product-market fit to scalable business models and well-defined go-to-market strategies.
AlchemistX is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Astana Hub, Astana Hub Ventures, IT Park Uzbekistan, and IT Park Ventures.
Call2action.ai’s story is another example of how startups from Kazakhstan are entering global markets not just with ideas, but with working products, paying customers, and measurable impact.
