Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Armenia Bolat Imanbayev held a meeting with Armenia’s Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan to discuss the current state and prospects for strengthening bilateral trade and economic cooperation, DKNews.kz reports.
The talks focused on expanding economic interaction and identifying new opportunities for joint projects between the two countries.
Focus on trade growth and investment cooperation
During the meeting, the parties paid particular attention to increasing the volume of mutual trade and expanding the range of goods exchanged between Kazakhstan and Armenia.
They also discussed ways to intensify investment cooperation between the business communities of both countries.

Priority areas for economic partnership include:
- agriculture and agricultural production
- food and light industry
- construction and infrastructure development
Officials noted that expanding cooperation in these sectors could create new opportunities for businesses in both countries.
Role of the intergovernmental commission and business council
The discussions also highlighted the importance of existing institutional mechanisms for economic cooperation.
These include the Kazakhstan–Armenia Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation and the newly established Business Council.
The parties agreed to organize regular consultations between industry representatives of Kazakhstan and Armenia in order to promote joint initiatives and strengthen business dialogue.
Plans for further cooperation
Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in intensifying the Kazakh–Armenian economic partnership.
They also reviewed the schedule of bilateral events planned for the current year, which are expected to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
Experts note that expanding trade and investment ties between Kazakhstan and Armenia could contribute to deeper economic integration within the Eurasian region.
