On January 21, 2020, a delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Iran paid a visit to the administrative center of the North Khorasan province - Bojnur city, which was organized as a follow up of the meeting held between the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Iran Mr. A.Orazbay and the Governor of the Province Mr. M.Shojaei.
The main purpose of the trip was to study the potential of the province and search for possible directions for establishing cooperation with the regions of Kazakhstan.
During the visit, there were held meetings with the leadership and activists of the province, members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of North Khorasan and business representatives, where the investment and export potential of Kazakhstan was presented. There was also organized a site visit to the leading enterprises of the region, operating on the territory of the Free economic zone in the city of Bujnur.
On a meeting with the leadership of the province, the Governor of North Khorasan Mr. M.Shojai expressed high interest and willingness to establish ties with the regions of Kazakhstan in order to develop cooperation in the agricultural, industrial, investment, tourism sectors, as well as to increase the volume of mutual trade.
During a visit to the Free economic zone, “Granuleiran” (rubber processing and rubber granule production) and “Sabok Sazan Shargh” (gas-block production) expressed interest in opening analogues of their enterprises in Kazakhstan.
Kazakh diplomats also took part in the opening ceremony of the competition in traditional Iranian Zurkhan wrestling which was also participated by wrestlers from Kazakhstan.
