At an expanded session of the Senate’s Committee on Constitutional Legislation, Judicial System and Law Enforcement Agencies, amendments to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Status of its Deputies”, as well as the Bill of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Making Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Committees and Commissions of the Parliamentary” on issues of parliamentary opposition” were considered.
“The bills have been drafted in the fulfillment of the order of Head of State K. Tokayev concerning the need to form a parliamentary opposition institute,” Senator Lyazzat Suleymen said.
The concepts of “parliamentary majority” and “parliamentary opposition” are enshrined on the legislative level.
The documents were submitted to the House.
