The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Qatar Arman Issagaliyev met with the CEO of the Metito Qatar Overseas company Helmi Gandur. During the meeting, issues of expanding cooperation on the implementation of projects in the field of water resources in Kazakhstan were discussed. It should be noted that Metito Qatar Overseas has been supplying equipment to the Caspiy desalination plant in Mangystau region since June 2022, DKNews.kz reports.
Currently, the company is actively exploring the possibility of upgrading sewage treatment plants in various cities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including Astana, Petropavl, Taraz and Kunayev. In October 2022, as part of the state visit of the Emir of Qatar to Kazakhstan, Metito Qatar Overseas signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Akimat of Zhambyl region. Metito Qatar Overseas also plans to build large desalination plants in the Mangystau region.
