My name is Zhanel, and I am from Kazakhstan. Since childhood, I have led an active lifestyle and adored ballet classes. When the time came to continue my education, I consideredstudying abroad. My proficiency in the English language was almost zero. I dreamt of learning the language in an English- speaking environment so I could immediately apply it in practice. During my search for suitable options with my parents, my agency, @studyabroad_mof, under the guidance of Maira Rakhatova, helped me secure admission to one of the best language centers - Bright Language Center. They assisted not only with the admission but also with visa support, airport pickup, accommodation arrangements, and ongoing support up to the present.
At first sight, I fell in love with the idea of studying in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The initial days in this amazing country were simply magical! I was fascinated by the beauty of the twin towers and the picturesque atmosphere of Kuala Lumpur. The local residents were very welcoming and friendly, instantly creating a sense of home away from home. Malaysia is a Muslim country, yet there are no strict religious restrictions, allowing everyone to feel comfortable and free. I was also amazed to learn that Malaysia ranks among the top 100 safest countries in the world. This was important for my parents, who always worried about my safety. The food in this country is unparalleled; everything I ate was halal. People here quickly adapt to the diversity and flavors of Malaysian cuisine.
My wonderful time in Malaysia not only helped improve my English language skills but also immersed me in the amazing culture of this remarkable country. Studying at the Bright Language Center were happy days in my life. I felt extremely comfortable there, and the teachers welcomed me warmly. Students from over 40 nationalities studied alongside me, which helped us learn English faster. Starting from a beginner level was not easy for me, but my classmates and teachers always supported and helped me improve my English. I was amazed by the intensity of learning at the Bright Language Center. Students study English for 28 hours aweek, Monday through Friday, deepening their skills in four areas with the help of three teachers each month.
The Bright Language Center also assisted me with accommodation, where I lived in excellent conditions, waking up and falling asleep with a view of the Petronas Towers from my room. During weekends, Bright organized trips to the mountains or tours, so we often explored various parts of Kuala Lumpur with my friends from around the world. Eight months flew by at Bright Language Center, and I didn't even realize how I progressed from a beginner to an intermediate level in English proficiency.
Around the same time, my agency, Study Abroad MOF, introduced me to the Embassy of Kazakhstan, where I made new friends. I also met Ambassador Bulat Bulatovich and other well-known and successful individuals in Malaysia. I shared my ballet background, starting at the age of 8, and continue to be invited to perform at various events to this day. After consulting with my agency, @studyabroad_mof, I decided to apply to APU, but at that time, I did not have an IELTS score. Fortunately, at the Bright Language Center, I enrolled in IELTS preparation lessons with one of the best teachers in Malaysia. The language center not only helped me move to another country and make many friends from different parts of the world but also prepared me for the IELTS and helped me get into my favorite university.
They say that university years are the most unforgettable in everyone's life, and I completely agree with that statement. This is especially true when you study in another country where there is no winter, and summer reigns year-round. Where cultural diversity and the English language become part of your daily life. Where every corner is adorned with magnificent tall buildings. Malaysia is not just a place for an unforgettable vacation but also a place where you can receive quality education that will serve as a springboard to a successful and fulfilling life.
