On January 26, 2020, famous Kazakhstan chess player Akhmet Ishmukhamedov played simultaneous games at the Tanglin Club. The event was organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Singapore.
Players of all ages participated at the event, which became an excellent platform for establishing cultural cooperation between peoples of Kazakhstan and Singapore.
Games lasted for more than 2 hours. Nobody won over Kazakh chess player. Nevertheless, the loss did not upset participants, rather giving an incentive for new matches. The new tournament will be held in March in order to celebrate Kazakh New Year – Nauryz.
It should be noted that Akhmet Ishmukhamedov has another great passion - playing Kazakh traditional music on the dombra. After the tournament he performed two masterpieces of Kazakh music - Adai and Arman cues. The music brought even greater delight and interest of the audience in the culture of Kazakhstan. As the result a group of potential explorers of the Great Silk Road that laid through Kazakhstan was formed. They plan to make a trip along the Great Silk Road this year already.
